After only just signing for Team Falcons a few days ago, sniper Kenny “kennyS” Schrub made his debut for the franchise at the European Development Championship 6 on Wednesday. The Counter-Strike: Global Offensive royalty led the team to victory against LDLC in the first round of the playoffs.

Falcons were favorites to win the game on top esports betting sites, and they did so in good fashion, sweeping LDLC 2-0. KennySs standout performance in the French derby gave Falcons the edge.

?The fixture started on the LDLC-selected map, Vertigo. In the beginning, kennyS had some difficulties playing on the CT side, but he got into the zone when the team switched to Terrorists.? ?Heading into the final moments of the map, he had fragged two players on the opposite side in the previous round. Locked in a 1v2 situation in the 30th round, the French sniper displayed some electric skills as Falcons ran out 16-14 winners.? KennyS ended Vertigo with 23 frags under his belt, 19 deaths, 78.5 ADR, and a 1.11 rating.

On their selected map, Overpass, Falcons were on the back foot at the end of the first half. LDLC took an early lead and ended the half 9-6 up. Falcons turned things around in the second half, however, recording a 10-5 scoreline after the break to steal the win.?

?KennyS garnered the most kills (47) for the series, having recorded 23 in the first map and 24 in the second map. Kevin “Misutaaa” Rabier registered the fewest number of deaths (34), while kennyS snagged 37 deaths. Although all Falcons players in the starting lineup posted a rating above 1.0, misutaaa had the best rating (1.25), with kennyS close behind at 1.16.

The game against LDLC was the French AWPers first competitive outing since December 2021 at the Intel Extreme Masters Winter in his time with G2 Esports. After that event, he was benched by G2 Esports for 18 months.

Their quarterfinal matchup at the European Development Championship 6 will be against whoever triumphs in the game between Sangal Esports and the Copenhagen Flames. Other teams in the final eight include forZe, K23, SINNERS Esports, 9INE, and Illuminar Gaming, with two other slots remaining to be filled.

French Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player Kenny “kennyS” Schrub is reportedly making a transfer from G2 Esports to Team Falcons.

According to reports, the French sniper will be replacing Bryan “Maka” Canda, who has been on the bench since October 25. Even though not many details about the transfer have been made public. It is anticipated that the player will bid his squad farewell in November.

The 27-year-old player has been with G2 Esports since 2017, but he has been inactive since March 2021. During this stint, he was preoccupied with creating content for the organization. The player said the sabbatical was really beneficial since it allowed him to prioritize his personal life, something he had neglected greatly while in the competitive scene.

KennyS has played with numerous teams from various regions throughout his time in CS:GO leagues, including Recursive eSports, Clan Mystik, Titan, and Team EnVyUs. The star player has won numerous MVP honors. He won the DreamHack 2014 Invitational II MVP award in 2014, and HLTV selected him as MVP of the ESL Pro League Season 5 Finals. He was also named Thorin’s sixth-best player in 2014 and 2015 before moving up to the fourth-best player in 2017.

KennyS has won a number of titles with G2, including the ESL Pro League Season 5 Finals and the 2017 DreamHack Masters Malm?. He also helped his team finish second at the Intel Extreme Masters XIV World Championship.

Following the completion of this transfer, the Frenchman would join the Falcons team alongside Ali “hAdji” Ha?nouss, Jordan “Python” Munck-Foehrle, Nathan “NBK” Schmitt, Kvin “misutaaa” Rabier, and coach Steeve “Ozstrik3r” Flavigni. The squad also includes benched players Maka and Jayson “Kyojin” Nguyen Van.

Falcons have been making headway in the esports scene since their inception in 2012. In their bid to build dominance in the industry, early this year they signed a four-man European lineup with Ozstrik3r joining as coach soon after. The team have been maintaining top spots in tournaments as well, as they were close to qualifying for the IEM CS:GO Rio Major 2022.

In the ESL Championnat National Autumn 2022, the squad finished in second place after losing to another formidable opponent, Heet, by a score of 0C2. The team won the ESL Challenger League Season 41 Europe title in June of this year, defeating 1Win 3-0 and taking home prize money of USD $20,000.
