?Team Liquid looked good at the start of the split, when they made the finals of the RLCS Spring Open, but they have since fallen off with seventh-eighth and fifth-sixth finishes at the Spring Cup and Spring Invitational. A poor stretch isn’t enough to start doubting Liquid’s quality, but they’re not in the best shape.
Like Liquid, Complexity had an explosive start to the split, with a gold medal from the Spring Open in May. Since then, it’s been downhill for Victor “Reysbull” Duran Parra and his crew with a 9th-12th finish at the Spring Cup and seventh-eighth at the Spring Invitational. In Complexity’s defence, they were eliminated from the Spring Cup by NRG Esports (2-3) and at the Spring Invitational they lost against Gen.G (1-3).
This is a clash between two struggling teams, so it could get messy. Team Liquid might be better, but that’s purely speculative because they hail from a stronger region. This looks like a 50-50 match, so we’ll take the outsiders at plus money.
Complexity to win

?The opening round of the RLCS Spring Split Major continues with another NA vs EU clash, featuring Gen.G Mobil1 Racing and Team BDS – two of the strongest teams from their respective regions. Gen.G are priced as favourites, but it’s hard to say they are stronger than BDS.
Gen.G have fallen off hard, with two disappointing runs at the Spring Cup (9th-12th) and Spring Invitational (5th-6th). On a more positive note, this squad is very experienced on LAN, so it makes sense that they’re expected to do well in Boston.
Team BDS have looked good this split, with two bronze medals from the Spring Open and Spring Cup and a runner-up finish at the Spring Invitational. Most importantly, BDS showed immense improvement at the end of the split and look like serious candidates to make a deep run in Boston.
This will be a proper test and a crucial match for both teams. And while Gen.G Mobil1 Racing deserve some respect, they’re in worse form than Team BDS.
