Day three of the Perfect World Shanghai Major Europe A RMR concluded with Natus Vincere (NaVi), FaZe Clan, and Cloud9 making headlines as they secured their spots for the Major.

These Counter-Strike 2 teams showed varying degrees of dominance, resilience, and adaptability to navigate a challenging qualifier.

NaVi earned a direct spot in the elimination stage with a commanding 2-0 victory over SAW, finishing the qualifier with a solid 3-1 record.

Despite a subpar bootcamp, described by Justinas “?jL?” Lekavicius as “one of the worst,” NaVi overcame their struggles with clinical performances.

Their win over SAW highlighted NaVi’s strength, taking Nuke (13-10) and Ancient (13-2) with confidence.

While their only loss came against MOUZ, NaVi’s overall performance underscored their readiness for the Major.

Reflecting on the team’s preparation, jL noted that despite inefficiencies at the bootcamp, they now have a clear focus to improve before the main event.

FaZe secured the last elimination stage spot after defeating Cloud9 in the fourth-place decider.

With a 3-1 record, they consistently showcased dominance, particularly in a 2-0 win over fnatic and a decisive series against Cloud9.

H?vard “?rain?” Nygaard emerged as the standout performer for FaZe, delivering a remarkable 1.28 rating over nine maps.

His exceptional play on Mirage and Inferno against Cloud9 (ratings of 1.63 and 1.65) proved pivotal.

Rain credited his improved performance to increased focus and work ethic, which FaZe plans to continue honing during a European bootcamp ahead of the Major.

Although Cloud9 didn’t earn automatic qualification to the elimination stage, they secured their spot in the opening stage of the Shanghai Major.

After entering the Europe A RMR as the second-lowest ranked team (no.66 in the world), Kirill “?Boombl4?” Mikhailov and co. only lost to FaZe throughout the event and dominated their other opponents, SINNERS Esports, Nemiga Gaming and Sangal Esports.

GamerLegion kept their hopes alive with a hard-fought win over Team Falcons, securing a place in the 2-2 pool and the opportunity to qualify for the opening stage.

Led by Timur “?FL4MUS?” Marev, GamerLegion shined on the series-deciding Mirage, where key plays by FL4MUS and Sebastian “?volt?” Malo? ensured victory.

For Falcons, Oleksandr “?s1mple?” Kostyliev’s efforts fell short, leaving his future with the team uncertain as their struggles continue.

With roster changes likely on the horizon, Falcons face a challenging rebuild.

NaVi and FaZe’s direct qualification to the elimination stage positions them as strong contenders for the Major, while Cloud9 and other lower-seeded teams will battle through the opening stage.

Both NaVi and FaZe aim to build on their momentum, with NaVi focusing on refining their strategies and FaZe leaning on rain’s stellar form and their upcoming bootcamp.

The Perfect World Shanghai Major is shaping up to be a thrilling showcase of skill and resilience, with Europe’s top teams setting the stage for high-stakes competition.
