League of Legends Championship Series rivals 100 Thieves and Cloud9 will clash this Sunday in what promises to be a real test for the former and their chances of reaching the playoffs, which they failed to do in the spring split.
Having represented North America at the 2018 LoL World Championship, 100 Thieves fell on hard times and have failed to perform up to par this year. As if finishing 4-14 in the spring was not enough, the team wound up bottom of the summer table after going winless in the first two weeks.

However, 100T have found some traction after signing Maurice “Amazing” Stückenschneider and bringing back Ryu “Ryu” Sang-wook. After his rather poor 0-4-6 performance with Lux against GGS in his first game since returning, Ryu has found his rhythm and started performing up to par with some of the best midlaners in the LCS.
Following a tough week five when they faced off against Team Liquid and TSM, 100 Thieves were happy to be paired with OpTic and Echo Fox in week six. While OpTic produced some resistance, Echo Fox who were no match and folded inside 31 minutes with the scoreboard showing 12-3 and over 7k gold difference.

With their first perfect week behind them, 100T will now look to complete the double over Cloud9 after beating them in week four.
Unlike 100 Thieves, who are on the rise, Cloud9 looked shaky in week six. After an impressive 2-0 run the previous weekend, they tasted defeat in game one when Echo Fox produced an incredible comeback to win their third match of the split.
After a shock loss to the bottom team, C9 regained some confidence with a win over Team SoloMid. While that result looks great on paper, both teams performed poorly and the eventual winners were lucky that TSM could not close out the match despite holding a 9-3 lead with three drakes. A win is still a win, but how much weight that particular W carries is up to debate.
100 Thieves vs Cloud9 LCS betting predictions
There is no denying Cloud9 have some exceptional players in their squad, but consistency is an issue. While they can match it with some of the best teams out there, they can just as easily lose their composure and choke against huge underdogs.
Talking about underdogs, 100 Thieves are priced at $3.25 to take down Cloud9 for the second time this split. Those odds are very generous when you consider C9 lost to Echo Fox last week and only won their Sunday fixture because of TSM’s inability to close out the match. 100 Thieves, on the other hand, have shown huge improvement and look like a team that can produce a tough fight against any LCS team at the moment.
While there is a huge gap between the two teams in the standings, 100T have enough form and individual quality to match Cloud9.
